Throughout the school year, The Fletcher Academy has a variety of different events around the school. We will be featuring many of those events here. As the events happen, we will have updates as well as photos taken at the event. Most of the photos will be posted to SnapFish so that parents can print out photos of their child and their friends.
Basketball Games: November 14, 18 and 21
On Friday, November 14, our basketball team will open the season against Lighthouse Homeschool in our home gym, Silber Gymnasium. Come out and cheer on your Falcons and give them all the support you have. It is also the debut of our newest group of Falcon Cheerleaders too. Get in the spirit with some catchy cheers and help our Cheerleader cheer on our basketball team.
On November 18, the Falcons will host another home game at 4:30pm in Silber Gymnasium as they take on Hopewell Academy.
On November 21, the basketball team will travel to St. Thomas Moore Academy for their first away game starting at 4:30pm.
Book Fair: November 21st and November 24th
This year's Book Fair will begin on Friday, November 21st from 7:30am-3:30pm as well as on Monday, November 24th during the same hours as well as during our Fall Festival.
This is a great time to stock up on some books for your children, friends and family. Come out and see the large selection of books that we will have on display for sale.
Fall Festival: November 24th
The Fall Festival will be held on November 24th from 5:00-7:00 pm. It will be hosted in the cafeteria and there will be many fun festivities to go around. During the Fall Festival, there will be refreshments as well as our annual Ice Cream Social. Mrs. Morrell's culinary arts students will be selling their own homemade pumpkin bread.
Many of our student's work will be on display as well as it relates to this year's theme. We will also have our annual Art show and sale during the festivities. Come out support our school, have fun and listen to some wonderful music, provided by some of our staff. Mrs. Sexton, who is a concert pianist will be playing as well as Mr. Dancy-Jones and Mr. Harris on guitar.
