About Our School
The Fletcher Academy is an independent co-educational day school for students in grades 1-12 with Learning Disabilities and/or ADD/ADHD. The Fletcher Academy has been in existence since 1981, and has recently changed its name from The Achievement School. We serve Wake County as well as many of the surrounding counties. |

Our Leadership Team
Our leadership team begins with Junell Blaylock as the Headmaster and Ruby Bugg as the Dean of Students. Our teachers are a carefully selected team of dedicated, caring, degree-trained professionals. Our entire staff is devoted to assuring that students maximize their potential, and often they go above and beyond the boundaries of their teaching and administrative duties to provide whatever support is needed. |
| Ms. Junell Blaylock (right) brings 30 years of classroom and administrative experience to the school. She holds an undergradute degree in English and a Master's Degree in Special Education as well as in Administration and Supervision. |

Ms. Ruby Bugg is the Dean of Students here at The Fletcher Academy. Ms. Bugg has a Master's Degree in Counseling and Special Education. She is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors as well as the NC Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and the National Certified School Counselors. |

The A.J. Fletcher Foundation is a non profit foundation in Raleigh, NC. The foundation supports a broad range of causes and serves as an advocate for human services.

The A.J. Fletcher Foundation publishes the Philanthropy Journal, which delivers news, information and opinion about charitable giving and fundraising.
